Golden Harvest Acres Website and Store Redesign

If you know me, you know there’s two things I love: one is food. The other is making stuff. When I get the opportunity to work with a small business that makes a quality product and it turns out that product is food, well… you can imagine this fat boy’s excitement.

I’m thrilled to introduce Golden Harvest Acres. 

Golden Harvest Acres, a family-run farm in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, sells seed garlic as well as their flagship product, a line of high-quality, all-natural wine vinaigrettes and spreads. The company has had an online store for a while but had difficulty generating online sales. The owner approached me a few months ago hoping to turn his online business around and I was thrilled to accept the challenge.

Start With a Site Audit

To get started, I performed an audit of the existing site. I discovered numerous points in which we could optimize customer experience, improve search engine visibility and reduce friction in the checkout process. On top of that, I discovered a great way to save the customer money by optimizing the way we calculated shipping.

Building a Strong Foundation

To get started, we needed a better foundation. Golden Harvest offers a premium product that deserves more than a budget online experience. Reich Web Consulting rebuilt the website using high-quality components and best practices. The new site offers a great experience across all devices, makes it easy for customers to find exactly what they need, and didn’t cost a fortune. The entire experience is also secured with an encryption certificate, so visitors can be sure their transactions through the online store are safe.

Looking Ahead

With the new website in place, I plan to help Golden Harvest Acres increase sales through their website, as well as through a variety of other online marketplaces. We will utilize analytics and custom event tracking to optimize the shopping experience and begin marketing their product to online retailers, food bloggers and more!
